NCSA SPIN

If you are a University of Illinois undergraduate student and you have an innovative idea that corresponds to NCSA's areas of interest and expertise, you are invited to apply for a limited number of paid research and development fellowships offered by NCSA. Selected fellows will be provided with office space at NCSA and will work with an NCSA staff mentor on their proposed project during the spring 2013 semester.

A proposal template is provided. All proposals must include:

  • Information about you: name, email address, phone number, major, year in school, relevant skills (NOTE: A full resume or CV is optional but can be provided to give the reviewing committee a better sense of your background and skills).
  • Information about the proposed project: description, expected outcome, and potential impact
  • Requested resources: office space and a desktop computer will be provided to all student fellows; please specify if your project requires additional equipment, access to high-speed networks or high-performance computers, or laboratory or performance space

Proposals should be submitted to HR@ncsa.illinois.edu by Nov. 9.
