Undergraduate Student Position

TeraGrid

Overview:

This position is responsible for developing and supporting a Web based application to store and review news submissions. The undergraduate or graduate student filling this position will need to have the technical skills to ensure that the Web application is informative, easy to use, and state-of-the-art. The student should be well versed in Web technology and able to develop and maintain webpages in an efficient and effective manner. The person filling this position will need to design and develop this Web application within the LifeRay framework. The student will work with the TeraGrid Website Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Student currently enrolled at the undergraduate or graduate level in computer science, computer engineering, computer graphics, multimedia design, or a related field
  • Experience in website development and support
  • Experience with database-driven websites
  • Experience developing with Java
  • Excellent technical understanding of the Web

Preferences:

  • MySQL experience
  • Experience with the open source Liferay framework
