Computer Assistant - Programmer / Web Developer

Office of Vice Chancellor for Research

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research is seeking a student worker for the position of Computer Assistant - Programmer / Web Developer. This employee will work under the supervision of the Web and Database Coordinator (WDC) in the Office of Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) located in the Swanlund Administration Building.

Date Needed: As soon as possible
Rate of Pay: $11 per hour
Number of Hours needed per week: 10 - 20 hours
Work Schedule: Flexible (but within standard business hours)

Job Description

Help in the creation, configuration and testing of Web-based applications and online forms built upon Microsoft technologies.

Requirements:

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Relational Databases, and online application development. Preferred candidates will have working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio technologies.

Skills:

Experience with Web programming, ability to learn to use proprietary tools to configure and maintain Web based applications, ability to thoroughly test Web sites, applications, and online forms. Good communication and problem solving skills.
