NCSA invites teachers and students, community groups, and everyone who is interested in science, technology, and innovation to tour our facilities and learn more about what we do.

A typical NCSA tour lasts about 30 minutes. Visitors can see:

A look at artful 3D animations of scientific phenomena. (located at the NCSA Building, 1205 W. Clark St., Urbana)

OR

An exploration of our machine room, which houses some of the most powerful computers in the world. (located at the National Petascale Computing Facility, 1725 S. Oak St., Champaign)

Tours are scheduled Monday through Friday during standard working hours. It is best to contact us at least a week in advance to schedule your tour. Tour groups of 10 to 20 people are preferred; accommodations can sometimes be made for smaller and larger groups when staff are available.

The NCSA tour is best suited for ages 11 and up; younger children are welcome but may become restless. All minors must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or teacher.

Note: NCSA reserves the right to cancel a tour in the event a group is 10 or more minutes late.
