Accommodations for Accepted Participants and Presenters

Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Hotel rooms will be reserved at the Embassy Suites at South Lake Tahoe for all accepted participants from Sunday, August 7 through Friday, August 12, 2011. Do not make reservations at the hotel on your own. The rooms will be paid by the organizers so you do not have to pay for the room yourself.

You will receive complimentary wireless access throughout the Embassy Suites facility. Everyone should bring their own laptop to fully benefit from hands-on tutorial sessions.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided Monday through Thursday. A reception will be held Sunday evening, and a dinner will be provided Monday evening at the Embassy Suites. You will receive per diem for dinner on other evenings so that you may try other local restaurants.

You will be asked to provide a credit card when registering at the hotel to cover any incidental expenses you may incur.

Extended Visits

You will be responsible for covering your own costs for any days outside of the pre-arranged Summer School dates of Sunday, August 7 through Friday, August 12.

For anyone that wishes to arrive earlier or stay later, the Embassy Suites can provide rooms at the rate of $199/night for a single, or $239/night for a double on Friday or Saturday evenings.

If you wish to spend the weekend in Reno, we encourage you to explore best rates via on-line sources (such as Expedia, PriceLine, etc. or the facility of choice). For example, the Nugget Casino currently has rooms for $49/night via Expedia. A number of casinos, including the Nugget, provide free shuttles to and from the Reno Airport.
