Transportation from Reno Airport to Lake Tahoe

There is a shuttle from the Reno Airport to the Embassy Suites at South Lake Tahoe for about $50 round trip.

Transportation from San Francisco or Sacramento

If you decide to fly through San Francisco (SFO) or Sacramento (SMF), California, below is transportation information to travel from those locations to the Embassy Suites at South Lake Tahoe.

Attendees would need to take BART from SFO or downtown San Francisco to the Richmond BART station. See BART map at http://www.bart.gov/stations/index.aspx.

At Richmond, the BART tracks are directly adjacent to the Amtrak tracks (you simply walk 50 yards from one to the other). From Richmond, the Amtrak schedule is as follows:

• 7:42 AM — Amtrak train to Sacramento
• 10:15 AM — Amtrak "Thru-Bus" departs for South Lake Tahoe
• 12:45 PM — Amtrak "Thru-Bus" arrives South Lake Tahoe Transit Center (adjacent to Embassy Suites)

The one-way cost from Richmond to South Lake Tahoe is $47. See www.amtrak.com for details/reservations.

Station codes are as follows:

Richmond: RIC
Lake Tahoe: SLH (do not use the Amtrak station code of "SLT," that station is on the other end of town)
