Submissions

Submissions are solicited on a wide range of topics related to the field of High-performance reconfigurable computing, including but not limited to:

1. Architecture of high-performance reconfigurable computing devices and systems
2. Languages, compilation techniques, and tools for high-performance reconfigurable computing
3. Libraries and run-time environments for high-performance reconfigurable computing
4. Performance modeling/prediction and benchmarks for high-performance reconfigurable computing
5. Algorithms, methodology, and best practices in application development for HPRC
6. Applications of high-performance reconfigurable computing in science and engineering
7. Trends and the latest developments in the field of high-performance reconfigurable computing
8. Standards and approaches for application portability across reconfigurable platforms
9. Validation and verification strategies for systems employing reconfigurable technologies

Submissions are due September 7, 2009. Authors should submit PDF documents electronically to the following email address: kindr@ncsa.uiuc.edu. Full-length papers up to 10 pages are solicited. Manuscripts should be prepared in ACM SIG Proceedings format.

All papers selected for this workshop will be peer-reviewed. Workshop proceedings will be included in the ACM Digital Library. The authors of accepted papers will be scheduled to present their work in one of the technical sessions.

OpenFPGA Award for Advancement in Industry Standards in Reconfigurable Computing will be presented to recognize the paper that exemplifies and advances efforts to develop portable applications on reconfigurable computing systems. The award will include a modest cash award and two years of OpenFPGA membership for up to eight co-authors.

Workshop proceedings manuscript preparation instructions

Final camera-ready manuscripts and signed copyright forms are due on October 12, 2009.

1. Print, fill in, sign and MAIL the ACM copyright form to:

Please mail the forms ahead of time, making sure that they will arrive on or before October 12, 2009.

2. Use the ACM Word or LaTeX style templates to prepare the final articles.

• Do not forget to apply ACM Computing Classification categories and terms from the Computing Classification Scheme. The templates provide space for this indexing.
• The Standard Copyright Statement together with a bibliographic strip containing the specific ISBN for the HPRCTA'09 volume should appear at the bottom first page left column of each article:

  "Permission to make digital or hard copies of all or part of this work for personal or classroom use is granted without fee provided that copies are not made or distributed for profit or commercial advantage and that copies bear this notice and the full citation on the first page. • DO NOT add page numbers, they will be added later to paginate sequentially throughout the proceedings.

3. Produce PDF files with thumbnails (if you can) optimized for fast Web viewing. Use only Type 1 fonts (scalable), not Type 3 (bit-mapped); all fonts must be embedded within the PDF file. Name your PDF files as follows: p-firstauthorlastname.pdf.

4. Email your final PDF file to kindr@ncsa.uiuc.edu no later than October 12, 2009. This way, the proceedings should appear on-line on the day of the workshop.
