Now that we have a new hardware partner for the Blue Waters project it is critical that we get as much information out to you as possible about this exciting new architecture. To that end, we have scheduled a winter PRAC Workshop that will be help here at NCSA December 13-16. We plan on being done by noon on Friday so that you can travel home by the weekend.
We are now in the process of working with Cray to develop a complete agenda but we have included a sampling of the main topics below:
During this workshop we will have many hands-on sessions which will use a single cabinet test system here at NCSA with 52 XE6 compute nodes plus 32 XK6 compute nodes with Fermi GPUs. This system has 1,088 x86 compute cores, 32 accelerators, and a Lustre file system.
