See information about: GUIDELINES FOR RSSI PRESENTATIONS AND POSTERS Oral presentations: Presenters will have 25 minutes to present their work and should allocate about 5 minutes for questions. A Windows PC running MS PowerPoint will be provided. Presenters are strongly encouraged to check their presentations before the session. Session Chairs will be available before the session to assist with the final preparation for the presentation. Posters: The RSSI'06 poster session will be held during the Wednesday (July 12) evening reception. Poster presenters will have time before the reception to install the posters. We will provide 4' x 8' (landscape orientation) poster boards and supplies necessary to mount the posters. Posters will need to be removed by 4 p.m. on Thursday. LOCATION Where will the Reconfigurable Systems Summer Institute take place? What is the closest airport? Other nearby airports are: Indianapolis International Airport (IND), Indianapolis, Indiana; O'Hare International Airport (ORD), Chicago, Illinois; and Central Illinois Regional Airport (BMI), Bloomington, Illinois. ACCOMMODATIONS The Hampton Inn at 1200 W. University Ave, Urbana, is the closest hotel to the Beckman Institute and is within walking distance (less than one block). The hotel provides complimentary airport shuttle service from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. Check the online Champaign County Visitors Guide for information on other Urbana-Champaign accommodations. PARKING Some metered parking is available on Clark Street directly in front of the NCSA Building. There is also a parking garage with metered spaces directly north of the NCSA Building. Some metered spaces will be available without charge; these marked meters will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. INTERNET ACCESS Will there be Internet access at the conference? DINING AND ENTERTAINMENT The Champaign County Conventions and Visitors Bureau provides information on things to do and see in Urbana-Champaign. The local arts organization 40 North/88 West also lists local music, theater, and arts happenings. The Krannert Center for the Performing Arts offers a variety of musical and theatrical entertainment. There are myriad dining options in Urbana-Champaign. If you'd like to walk a few blocks to downtown Champaign, you can find Chinese, Thai, fusion and sushi restaurants; coffee shops and a bakery; bars offering burgers, pizza, sandwiches, salads and munchies; a traditional Italian restaurant and an Italian wine bar; a late-night diner; and a fine-dining steak-and-seafood restaurant.
