NCSA production resources support the use of ssh and ssh based clients (including those grid-enabled), gridftp, uberftp, and kerberized ftp clients for access by users to a particular production resource.

There are two types of access, "Login" and "File Transfer". SSH based clients tend to offer both types of access, while FTP based clients tend to only support the File Transfer access.

Note:  Most of the examples below, show how to access MSS using a particular client, the same steps can be used to connect to any NCSA production resource.
