Idle Logout
Update 5/7/99
Email notification may be turned off if the user places a file
in their home directory called ".nologoutemail".
Update 4/26/99
Warning messages are now sent in email rather than to the terminal.
Nov 30, 1998
Beginning Dec 9, 1998, to improve security, terminal sessions on modi4 that
have been idle for 4 hours will be logged off. A warning email message will
be sent to the user after 3 1/2 hours of idle time, as well as when the
session is killed.
Web based machine and batch system status pages are available to
lessen the need to keep windows open to the systems. These pages are
be login and password protected and linked from the NCSA Origin2000
System web page at http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/SCD/Hardware/Origin2000.
