Lustre Outage

Attention:  

     During the temporary reduction of generally available compute
nodes scheduled for next week, our systems team is going to work with 
our filesystem vendor to further debug the /cfs/scratch filesystem.  

     $SCR will be set to your jobid in /nfs/scratch/batch/<jobid>
automatically for jobs starting after 12:01AM Oct 18, 2004, and 
/nfs/scratch/users/$USER will be available for interactive scratch.  

     The scratch-global filesystem link in your home directory and 
/cfs/scratch will be offline next week, so if you require data that's 
there for your jobs, please copy it now and make the necessary job 
script adjustments if you use those paths in your scripts.

You should back up any important data that you may have stored in the 
scratch-global filesystem to mass storage system (mss).
