To facilitate the transition from Copper to another NCSA HPC resource, please check the table on the Math Software and Libraries page. If there is no corresponding entry in another machine, please email mathsoft about getting a particular package added to another machine.

There are some packages or libraries that will not be continued beyond Copper and we will help users with finding alternative solutions.

• Mathematica - Due to the unique licensing arrangement of Mathematica on Copper, we are unable to offer this product on any other plaftorm.
• Matlab - Matlab will be made available on Tungsten with new limitations on usage. Please see the Matlab software database entry for more information.
• ESSL/PESSL - The functionality of the linear algebra can can be found in packages like SGI's SCSL or Intel's MKL (Cobalt, Mercury, Tungsten and Abe) in conjuction with ScaLAPACK from SGI's SCSL or the NETLIB version. The FFT functionality can be found in SGI's SCSL , FFTW or MKL on Cobalt and from FFTW or MKL on (Tungsten, Mercury or Abe). The GNU Scientific Library (GSL) can also provide features not available in other packages.
• IMSL - Due to historically low usage of this package, IMSL will not be licensed for use on other platforms. Please contact mathsoft for assistance in finding alternative solutions.
