Joining the Mail List
The Scientific Computing Division's Performance Engineering and
Computational Methods group has established a mail list for people
interested in new results and analysis on high-performance systems.
Updates to our performance database occur when new scaling studies
are carried out on larger numbers of processors, new compilers are
released, operating systems are patched or upgraded, new software
or libraries are installed, or new algorithms are tested.
Many of these studies include cross-discipline and/or cross-architecture
comparisons. While not every update may directly concern you, many
advances are general in nature and have broad applicability.
If you join the list, you will receive an email message whenever
new graphs or information is added or updated in the NCSA
performance tuning set of pages starting from
www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/SCD/Perf/Tuning/.
Please sign up for our new mail list following the
instructions below.
- Open a new message in your electronic mail system
- Enter "majordomo@ncsa.uiuc.edu" in the To field (but do not
include the quotation marks)
- Leave the subject line blank
- On the first line of the text area, enter "subscribe ncsa_performance"
(but do not include the quotation marks)
- send the mail
It's that easy! You will receive a confirmation email
that will also include information
about how you can leave the list in the future.
Thanks for your interest and please contact project lead
Mark Straka
if you would like to contribute your information.
