PECM Collaboration
The PECM group collaborates with users from various scientific fields and communities.
We work with industry, principal investigators (PIs), various programs within
NCSA, and within PI
Industry
PECM collaborates with industry on research projects of mutual interest, matching
an industry's needs to the appropriate NCSA resources, expertise, and training.
Industry partners have access to high-performance computers, applications packages,
and PECM's research staff.
PECM members currently collaborate with
CAT, ABAQUS, and the Champaign Simulation Center
NCSA
We collaborate with our colleagues in other NCSA programs:
- The Strategic
Applications Program (SAP) works to enable application scientists
to make more effective use of NCSA's resources. The
results of these projects are disseminated to the broader NCSA user
community in the form of new methodologies,
software, and algorithms provided as online information.
- The Private
Sector Program (PSP) partners
NCSA with leading-edge companies to address the challenges
faced by industry. Working with the PSP, companies have benefitted from
the emerging technologies and computing innovations developed at NCSA.
- The Faculty
Fellows Program works to extend opportunities in advanced computing
and information technology to Illinois faculty. Faculty Fellows have
access to NCSA's high-performance computers, visualization and virtual-reality
environments, and opportunities to work with colleagues at NCSA
and throughout the National Computational Science Alliance
(Alliance).
- PECM members help colleagues in other departments with specification
and evaluation when acquiring new hardware.
- The PECM group contributes to NCSA Strategic Planning.
PI
PECM members work closely with Consulting
Services in PI to assist
HPC users at NCSA.
