Macintosh Kerberos 5 Client
OSX comes with it's own implementation of Kerberos that works quite
well with our environment. Grab our version of
edu.mit.Kerberos which goes in
/Library/Preferences/ and you may also want to get the
OS X
Kerberos Extras which will help get Fetch and Eudora working.
After installing the edu.mit.Kerberos configuration file, you will
still need to configure which Kerberos realm you wish to authenticate with.
Run the Kerberos Application to configure the realms that show up
in the popup list:
/Applications/Utilities/Kerberos
Then from the
"Edit" menu select
"Edit Favorite Realms...". This
should give you a window with a very short list on the left
(
ATHENA.MIT.EDU) and a long list on the right that contains
NCSA.EDU as well as a ton of others. Find
NCSA.EDU in the
list, select it, and then click the
"Add" button.
From the Get Tickets "virtual window" you should now be able to
select NCSA.EDU as a realm to aquire tickets.
