NCSA's centers facilitate research and education by bringing people together to focus on a particular area of research in an interdisciplinary environment. NCSA currently has two centers.

Center for Artificial Intelligence Innovation

The Center for Artificial Intelligence Innovation was formed to bring together faculty and industry expertise in AI to create new ways to use AI in big-data research, industry and technology. The Center will also train a new generation of AI leaders.

Center for Digital Agriculture

The Center for Digital Agriculture (CDA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was formed to help agricultural producers, researchers, and industries keep pace with the ways technology is transforming how we feed and support a growing global population. Increased global productivity and sustainability requires technical innovations that involve CDA's primary themes: Automation, Data, Animals and Crops, and People.

Artificial Intelligence for Future Agricultural Resilience, Management, and Sustainability Institute

The Artificial Intelligence for Future Agricultural Resilience, Management, and Sustainability Institute will serve as a nexus for multidisciplinary research teams that advance foundational AI and use these advances to address important challenges facing world agriculture. It will put strong emphasis on technologies that impact production practices, on developing a diverse technically skilled workforce in digital agriculture, and on supporting women and minority farmers.
