NCSA Student Spotlight: Ryan Chui April 17, 2018 Share this page: Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Email NCSA’s Student Spotlight is on former software development intern, Ryan Chui. Ryan worked inside NCSA’s world-class industry program, in areas of software installation, benchmarking and development, while pursuing his Master’s degree in bioinformatics at U of I. “Working with NCSA Industry has given me a lot of practical experience, which is definitely something that I was personally looking for,” said Chui. “This job gave me professional experience in high-performance computing (HPC), big data technology, and machine learning.” After graduating in December 2017, Ryan is now working for 23andMe as a software engineer. “This is definitely a good transition, because a lot of the work that 23andMe is doing is very closely related to the type of work we do here at NCSA.” Disclaimer: Due to changes in website systems, we've adjusted archived content to fit the present-day site and the articles will not appear in their original published format.
