Come to the National Petascale Computing Facility for a first-hand look at Blue Waters, one of the fastest supercomputers in the world! With a sustained speed over 1 petaflop, Blue Waters is capable of performing more than 1 quadrillion calculations per second.

In addition to viewing Blue Waters, you can also see the infrastructure required for this powerful machine.

This is a self-guided tour. Come any time during the day and stay as little or as long as you’d like.

Location: NPCF is located west of Assembly Hall, at the corner of Oak St. and St Mary’s Road.

Parking: Free parking is available across the street in Lot E-14. From Lot E-14 you can board the shuttle buses for Engineering Open House, Explore ACES, and the Naturally Illinois Expo.

Tours of the Blue Waters supercomputer are offered in conjunction with Engineering Open House.
