More Opportunities to Grow
At NCSA, we offer a number of programs for faculty and students. Whether you’re searching for a summer internship or looking to explore new interdepartmental collaborations, we’ll help you get where you want to go.
NCSA Affiliates Program
Becoming an affiliate with NCSA gives you direct access to NCSA research scientists, staff and services. NCSA has a wealth of experience working with our affiliates to accelerate their research with top-of-the-line compute and cyberinfrastructure resources, data, program support and more.
Fiddler Innovation Endowment
The Fiddler Innovation Endowment is made possible through generous gifts from Jerry Fiddler and Melissa Alden to support the Emerging Digital Research and Education in Arts Media (eDream) Institute at NCSA. eDream awards exceptional, creative and interdisciplinary students and faculty who propose significant projects that address cultural and global challenges using art, science and technology.
Students Pushing Innovation
The Students Pushing Innovation (SPIN) internship program gives University of Illinois students an opportunity to apply their skills to real challenges in high-performance computing, data analysis and visualization, cybersecurity and other areas of interest to NCSA.
Research Experiences for Undergraduates
The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program, funded by the National Science Foundation, brings undergraduate students from across the country to NCSA for a 10-week summer program to work on interdisciplinary research projects. The REU program represents NCSA’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities for all that advance the nation’s digital workforce.
Center for Digital Agriculture Research Experience for Undergraduates (CDA REU)
The CDA REU program is a 10-week, paid on-site opportunity hosted by the Center for Digital Agriculture at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. It brings together students with backgrounds in computation, agriculture, and biosystems and provides valuable hands-on training to work in academia, industry, and beyond.
This program is designed to equip REU participants with the necessary skills to work across disciplines and empower them to address grand challenges in their future careers with robust problem-solving.
NCSA International Research Program
This internship program is an NCSA summer research training experience open to highly motivated international undergrad students who are currently enrolled in any major and in any year of studies at U.S. universities or foreign students enrolled at universities in their home countries.
