Program Administration

At NCSA we enable game-changing research through world-class support that’s there for you, every step of the way. Whether that means financial support, staffing assistance or connecting you with a software development team that makes your project sing, we do what it takes behind the scenes to keep you ahead of the curve.

NCSA administers a broad and complex portfolio of programs and projects supported by a range of sponsors. Our current body of work represents well over $250 million in funding, from small, short-term projects to large-scale, collaborative efforts spanning more than a decade, to ongoing programmatic endeavors representing tens of millions of dollars annually. Program administration encompasses financial, marketing and communications, human resources, facilities and additional services. NCSA’s mature, efficient suite of capabilities –beyond the direct scientific and technical leadership – ensure all the research we administer benefits from world-class support.

Visualization closes the gap between what we learn and how, turning raw data into powerful visual displays that resonate with meaning. NCSA established the Visualization Program Office to simulate large complex datasets, bringing science to life across a wide range of domains from astronomy to earth sciences to genomics.

We provide administrative support to the NCSA Industry Program, executing dozens of projects annually for some of the world’s best-known manufacturers, comprising more than $10M in annual revenue.

With the increasing need to process and analyze complex data in the healthcare space, NCSA established the Healthcare Innovation Program Office to expand research efforts and provide support for critical work including addressing COVID-19 and tackling the diseases that impact our lives.
