NCSA to host FREE summer courses on heterogeneous programming, many-core processors

05.03.12 -

NCSA will host two courses offered by the Virtual School of Computational Science and Engineering (VSCSE) this summer:

These courses will be delivered to a number of sites nationwide using high-definition videoconferencing technologies, allowing students to participate at a number of convenient locations where they will be able to work with a cohort of fellow computational scientists, have access to local experts, and interact in real time with course instructors.

NCSA will WAIVE the $100 registration fee for these courses—both Programming Heterogeneous Parallel Computing Systems and Proven Algorithmic Techniques for Many-core Processors will be FREE for those participating at NCSA. Lunch will be provided each day. Participants are responsible for their own travel and housing expenses.

A third summer course, Science Cloud Summer School, will be held July 30-Aug. 3 but will not be hosted at NCSA. For more information about all of the courses, including a list of all participating sites, see http://www.vscse.org/summerschool/2012/. To register, go to http://hub.vscse.org/.
