NCSA to host OpenACC programming workshop

NCSA, XSEDE and the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center will present a free workshop on OpenACC GPU programming on Nov. 5. The workshop will include a hands-on component using NCSA’s Blue Waters supercomputer.

OpenACC is the accepted standard using compiler directives to allow quick development of GPU capable codes using standard languages and compilers. It has been used with great success to accelerate real applications within very short development periods.

Individuals may participate in the workshop from the following sites: NCSA; Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center; Ohio Supercomputing Center; Michigan State University; Harvey Mudd College; Shodor; University of Delaware; University of Utah; Georgia State University; University of Houston Clear Lake; King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
